Look....I do NOT write hair product reviews because the ones I've tried usually leave much to be desired. But I'll be danged...I think Athena Rose is onto something. This is my second week using it and I really love the results! Right away I notice that my blowdrying process was not only easier, but my hair dried with significantly greater moisture. I'm no professional stylist by any means but I've learned that quality products make or break drying and styling results.
My hair is complicated to say the least. Low porosity, 3a/b unprocessed for nearly 20 years. The natural journey has really taken me for a loop. I just knew it would be simpler than a perm.... but iykyk, right?
After years on YouTube university, learning the ends and outs of my hair type and hair care dos vs donts, I eventually realized its too much to keep up with. Trying this technique and mixing those creams, and LOCing here and there and everywhere...I just grew weary. I'd gone from sleek and chic to messy bun 'girl next door' because I just can't with my hair. God, why can't I have effective products that are kind to my follicles AND budget???
Ask and you shall receive. ATHENA ROSE! I love that I can count the ingredients in each product and that the website educates users on best practices for each step based on your hair porosity and science.
The low fragrances and non-existent dyes are giving trustworthy and honey....how about the packaging?Beautiful! What other haircare line is sending preserved roses to their clients?
Y'all, whoever is behind Athena Rose, I think they are actually creating products we can trust. I'm excited to see what this line will do for my hair in the long run!
PS: I'm not a paid user.
